    2. Annette (Crush): Ata first encountered Annette who was practicing her wind magic when he passed through Seasoul Town, and her bumbling ineptitude at magic immediately piqued his interest.

Ata's story is bizarre.

He is a descendant of Kentein, a rare semi-orc race that was persecuted for its distinctive religious beliefs and scattered throughout Athanor. The same is true of Ata-since the beginning, he had no memory of his parents.

After sailing the seas around the city of Botland for years, Ata became a longshoreman, However, he longed for the open waters, and when he came across a pirate ship by chance, he began life as a pirate.

Ata sneaked into the legendary-Sea Grave during a treasure hunt and acquired a rare treasure, the Soul Pearl, He combined it with the remains of sea beasts to create a unique weapon that has since become a terror of the seas.

Everything was right in the world, until one day, his ship sailed past Seasoul Town where he met a freckled wind mage who had been living there for a long time...

Sea Grave

Everything was silent around him.

Ata sank deeper and deeper into the darkness. All he could hear was the thundering of his heart.

"Hell, that fellow told me that this was the legendary [Sea Grave], and it looks like I'm going to be buried with it... Suddenly, there was a flash of light.

A wide expanse of water poured down from the sky with glowing holy light. The soft waters circled Ata like a thin curtain of sapphire enveloping the sky and earth. Ata pushed on excitedly, well aware that he was already at the finish line.

I found it!

Huge piles of white skeletons were strewn all around, as high as dozens of ships. The surface has long been eroded by the sea, and countless fish were swimming around lazily.

This is the legendary-Sea Grave.

Ata swam excitedly around the skeletons several times but found nothing. Perhaps someone had already been here, he thought dejectedly, when suddenly an old voice was heard.

"You're finally here."

"Whoa!" Ata was caught off guard and choked on several mouthfuls of seawater.

"You know me?" Ata asked curiously. Although he had always been convinced that he was the chosen one in the ballad, he was still excited when the moment came.

"The Tidecaller, Sutis, had told me that a Kentein youth wearing tiger teeth would come to me. He and his companions will embark on an adventurous journey to the end of the world."

"Hold on... Did you say Kentein?" Ata quickly caught hold of the key to the sentence. He had never known anything about his own identity and origins, and he had always had his tiger-toothed chain since childhood.

"Yes... We lived together in these waters a few millennia ago. They have migrated from remote forests and claim to be descendants of the orcs, which were scattered due to the war.

Ata was stunned and became silent for a long while. He had heard little about the Kentein, who were said to be wicked and unholy because they believed in evil gods. Kentein had been wiped out in the War of Purification, and now, only a few remnants were scattered all over Athanor.

It turns out that the so-called [Sinner's Blood] also flows in his body. As for his parents, they were probably already...

Ata shook his head, trying to avoid thinking about it again. The old voice was heard again: "My mission is to give you the [Soul Pearl)...

Crystal clear pearls rose slowly from the skeleton, emitting a faint white light. Ata stretched out his hand to hold it, and a warmth spread from his palm throughout his entire body.

"This is... for me?" Ata asked. The treasure which countless people had fought for was now in his hand. The experience was so extraordinary that it was almost like a dream.

"Go, young man".

"My mission is over."

"Someday, you will find the key to this world."

Countless foams were seen floating on the waters. Ata looked into the distance. He then suddenly came to his senses and asked in a loud voice:

"Hey, old man, where am I going to find the companion you spoke of --"

Only silence greeted him in return.

Ata was a new immigrant to Botland.

Being a port city, Botland does not enjoy a solid industrial foundation like the inland cities, but its thriving commercial vitality has allowed countless gold prospectors to realize their dream.

Ata counted himself as one of these gold prospectors. To fulfill his dream, he willingly started to work in the city harbor.

Bodine is one of the stops for an endless stream of traders and merchants passing by, forming a prosperous trading route. Ata was strong and willing to endure hardships. Not only were his basic needs fulfilled, he also managed to earn extra income as well.

However, Ata's diligence became a threat to some people's eyes. Who allowed him to do this much? In the long run, to the laborers who rely on the dock work for their livelihood-especially the elderly-his diligence would starve them.

Amongst the human kingdoms, the Federation of the Free is the most tolerant of immigrants. They have introduced a series of policies to protect the rights and interests of immigrants in the Federation. Thus, a group of solid and disgruntled men did not dare to openly confront Ata but instead quietly ambushed him in an alleyway that Ata regularly passed through.

"You guys better not start any trouble!"

Facing this group of ruffians, Ata immediately greeted them with his fists.

Moments passed, and a black-and-blue-faced Ata finally came into an agreement with the ruffians sprawling messily on the floor. He came to Botland to earn money and not to risk his life. Furthermore, after exchanging fists with these men, Ata developed a sense of camaraderie with them-indeed, the friendship between men is sometimes inexplicable.

And so just like that, the Ata who arrived alone in Botland joined this group of misfits and took on all the jobs in the harbor. At the same time, he was also confident enough to negotiate a pay raise with the employers, thereby filling his money pouch to the fullest.

"These days are so... hic!"

Deep in the night, with a bottle of ale in his hand and a toothpick in his mouth, Ata stared at the night sky and felt a complex mix of feelings. It's not that he was dissatisfied with the life he had.

But, his dreams were always filled with the sound of the waves...

After agonizing over it for a long time. Ata finally revealed his heart to his brothers. "So you're leaving us!?" Zak glowered at him, his coarse red beard still stained with ale

Ata glanced at him and felt guilty, he could only bite the bullet and whisper: "I didn't come to Botland only to do hard labor my entire life."

Zak smashed the bottle in his hand, and the brown liquor splashed all over Ata's face. "So, are you looking down on our brothers who are doing these hard labors?!"

The crash of the bottle pierced through the hustle and bustle of the tavern, causing the bartender to immediately turtle his neck in and hide underneath the liquor cabinet. Customers saw the situation and hurried out the door, but some who were unafraid stared at the angry bull-like Zak and Ata, who had no choice but to play the bullfighter.

Who gave them permission to watch this scene?

Without Ata's input, several brothers stood up and "asked" those few nosy onlookers out of the tavern.

Now there were no outsiders in the tavern. Ata licked the liquor on the corner of his mouth, and his warm gaze suddenly changed to two sharp eyes glaring at Zak.

The tavern's atmosphere grew heavier, and the burning fireplace seemed to visibly cool down.

At the peak of that silence. Ata suddenly burst out laughing.

Then, Zak also laughed with him.

The laughter quickly infected everyone in the tavern.

Ata hit the table with his right hand, stood up abruptly, and scolded with a smile. "If this were before, you would already sprawl on the ground!"

"Oh, you still know how to bring up the old times?" Zak exclaimed provokingly.

"Come come come! If I don't outdrink you till you collapse today, I will change my name to Lil' Kitten!"

The next day, the residents of Botland heard about the incident in the tavern, and from that day on Ata, who always liked to swagger around the city, was never seen again. Someone swore that he saw a bunch of dock laborers that night, carrying a body and disposing it into the sea.

Amidst the swirling rumors, Ata actually followed Zak into a fishing village near Botland.

"If you want to go out to the open sea, as a brother, I can't stop you. But let me ask you a question: Do you know sailing? Or have you thought about how big of a ship do you want to buy, how many crewmembers you are going to recruit?

That night, among the snoring of brothers who were partying in the tavern, only Ata and Zak, both of them still evenly matched in drinking, chatted while drinking their liquor.

Facing Zak's interrogation, Ata found himself speechless.

So heeding Zak's advice, Ata decided to follow the fishermen on their trips to the sea so that he could learn crucial maritime knowledge and at the same time further fill his coffers. The captain had promised the crew that any loot that each person acquires during the adventure is their own to keep-and Ata was confident that with his own affinity to water, diving deep into the sea to collect a few large pearls is not that hard.

He was born for the sea. Working so hard for so many years in Botland was all for the sake of saving enough money so that he could buy his own ship and set sail to find the ocean of his dreams, Azure waters, white and soft beaches, endless corals under the sea, clumsy sea-turtles, arrogant long-legged crabs, gorgeous jellyfishes... "Come, put this on."

While Ata was lying on the side of the ship daydreaming, the captain, with his fake leg, limped towards him and threw him a set of smelly sailor clothes, a sticky and slimy blindfold, and a rusty cutlass.

Ata came to his senses and discovered that the entire crew had already put on similar sailor outfits, with their faces covered by various headscarves, eye masks, and face paint. Ata was stunned. He found it difficult to connect in his mind the people he saw before him with the good and pleasant fishermen from before.

"What is this for?" Under the gaze of the crewmen, Ata dumbly put on the clothes given to him.

The captain grinned, revealing a golden tooth: "I found a big fish. Get ready. We're going to work."

"Ah! Curse this memory of mine!" The captain, who had already turned away from Ata, turned his head back absent-mindedly and said, "I keep forgetting to tell you: We are fishermen only when we are in the village. Once out in the open sea, we take on a new identity! In a while, the real work will begin, so pay attention. And for heaven's sake, do not let anyone see your face! But don't worry too much. Zak and I are fishermen only when we are in the village. Once out in the open sea, we take on a new identity! In a while, the real work will begin, so pay attention. And for heaven's sake, do not let anyone see your face! But don't worry too much. Zak and I are old acquaintances, so I will look out for you!"

"So our new identity is..."

The captain pointed at something behind Ata's head, and there a skull-and-crossbones flag was waving in the wind.

  • Beta 34 Patch Note[5]

We have been re-examining the base attributes of all heroes recently to avoid situations where heroes deviate from their class as this makes them different to similar heroes who should provide a similar experience and interferes with players' perception. Ata is an example of this because his passive gives him powerful sustainability, which has made his physique seriously inferior to similar tanks or even heavily armed warriors. We've adjusted his physique so that it is more in line with his class, but we've also nerfed his passive to keep things balanced.

We’ve recently been looking at the base attributes of all Heroes. We’ve noticed that some Heroes have been deviating from what their class is supposed to excel at.

A good example of this is Ata. Ata’s passive gives him great sustainability but doesn’t have the physical stature that a tank is supposed to showcase. To put him in line with other tanks, we’re going to be adjusting his base stats and scaling, while dialing back his passive a touch to make him feel better to play.

Passive HP Regen: 50% HP Regen from Hero hits and 25% HP Regen from Minion Troop hits -> 45% HP Regen from Hero hits and 20% HP Regen from Minion Troop hits

Base Armor: 135 -> 145

Growth Armor: 18.2 -> 23.5

Growth HP: 305 -> 335

Ultimate damage: 250+75/Lv+0.9 AD -> 300+150/Lv+1.0 AD
